This is a picture i found on pinterest which is very interesting. The idea of using some noodles to create a beautiful design of dress is also considered as art. I've seen a lot of idea by using a flower petals before, but i have never seen someone using food to create this awesome design.

Summary of Isaac Mizrahi Video

In this video, Isaac Mizrahi was talking about his habit, he followed the people who he thought looked interesting. He was following a guy because this guy has a really great shoes on him. After that, he took a picture of the shoes and then thanked each other. He thought that most of his design ideas came from mistakes and tricks of the eye. He even found that a hole in a shirt looked interesting. He sid that color is something tha motivates him the most, so he stdied a lot about color. He told a story about his mother, aboun an exerpt from his mother’s quotes. He act and dance when he was in high school, and he got interested in design. He went to Parson School of Design and began his career as a designer. He said that he love to cook and he also cook a lot.

Summary of Steven Johnson video

In this video, Steven Johnson is talking about the picture of grand cafe he took at the distance of 10 blocks. It is the first coffeehouse that open in England in 1650. He said that the English coffeehouse was crucial to the development and spread of one of the great intellectual flowerings of the last 500 years, which is now called the Enlightenment. Coffeehouse played such a big role in the birth of the Enlightenment, because before the spread of coffee and tea through British culture, what people drank was alcohol. In the 1650 era, alcohol was the daytime beverage of choice. There is another thing that makes the coffeehouse important, it is the architecture of the space. It was a space where people would get together from different backgrounds, different fields of expertise, and share. After that he talked about the guy named Timothy Prestero who owned an organization called Design That Matters. He also talked about a researcher named Kevin Dunbar. Then he talked about the history of GPS.

Stone art

I saw this interesting stone and took a photo of it. I found it at level four wing B NAFA campus one. It was located in the corner, so I didn’t notice it until I walked through all level four today. The reason why it is interesting is that the writings can just be read if you put a mirror under the stone. You can read the writings in the mirror. The second picture is the result if you put a mirror under the stone.

Childhood

This was the picture that I took when I was going out with my cousin. It was located at the roof top of the NEX mall at Serangoon. Seeing this water playground reminds me of my childhood where I always go to this kind of place every six month with my family when I was still a kid. We would go traveling when it comes to holiday. I feel like I want to go back to the past.

The Beckoning Cat

This picture was taken when I was having lunch in a Japanese restaurant with my cousin. In Japanese, its name is maneki neko which means beckoning cat. It is a common Japanese figurines that is believed to bring a good luck to the owner. It was usually made from ceramic or plastic. It was also called as the welcoming cat, lucky cat, money cat, happy cat, beckoning cat or fortune cat. I wonder what was the story behind this beckoning cat.

Temple

This picture was taken on May when I visit Malaysia. This beautiful place is called Kek Lok Si Temple. This was the first time I went there. It was a very hot day. I went there with my mother and my auntie to pray. I was amazed by the beautiful scenery of this place. When I went there last time, the place was still in renovation, but I think it will be done by next year.

Pablo Picasso

This is the picture of the books about Pablo Picasso. I borrowed this book from the library to find a source for my visual arts essay, but it can not be used. Pablo Picasso was a famous painter who was born in Malaga on 25th of October. His painting was displayed in the back room of a shop when he was 14 years old.
